This step will create the specific types of appointments that can be scheduled with the correct services included.

1. Select the Company from the home page.

2. Select the Gear Icon and Add Service.

3. Name the service, select age type, patient type, CDT service codes, appointment duration, and icon associated with each appointment type. When done, select "Add Service".

Some Examples of Services you may want to add:

  • New Patient Adult Exam and Cleaning
  • New Patient Child Exam and Cleaning
  • New Patient Toothache / Emergency
  • Existing Patient Adult Exam and Cleaning
  • Existing Patient Child Exam and Cleaning
  • Orthodontic Consultation

4. Name the type of appointment service you are creating and fill in the Type of patient. Then add all the services you would like to tie to the appointment. The appointment duration is important, as this will influence the start times and number of appointments offered. For example if the appointment duration is 30 minutes, on an open schedule from 9:00-12:00 the below options would be offered:

9:00-9:30

9:30-10:00

10:00-10:30

10:30-11:00

11:00-11:30

11:30-12:00

5. Next you will need to select a Schedule Type for the Service. The Default Type will offer the next appointment option immediately after the previous appointment ending time. The Staggered Type allows you to stagger appointments between two columns. The first column is on the hour, the staggered column is on the half hour. Ideal for Assisted Hygiene Programs

If you set an appointment type/service type to use the staggered option, you must then "link" the operatories in the "Manage Operatory" settings.

You can also choose which locations that you would like this appointment type to be offered in, or Select All to add this service to all locations. You can return later to update the Add Insurance, Configurations, Dashboard Logs, View Bookings Page, and Same-day Booking Page.
