FAQs

How does the Jarvis Scheduler work as it pertains to existing and new patients?:

While we capture all information:

  1. Zip code
  2. City
  3. Email
  4. State
  5. Gender

We don’t overwrite what is in the PMS for existing patients, we simply use the information gathered to match to an existing patient. If a match is not made, then we treat this as a New Patient.

Specific to Open Dental Clients:

If an office puts a block in an operatory column– it MUST be set up to “block appointments scheduling”. This is an option when creating the block. See image below.

If it is not set up this way, a patient using Scheduler will be able to schedule over the block which could result in a patient scheduling an appointment in a spot where it is not allowed.
