Google Business Profile Best Practices

Once your Google Business Profile is set up, there are a few best practices you can follow to help boost your visibility and ranking on Google.

  • Claim and verify your Google My Business profile.
  • Have your Name, Address, Phone Number (NAP), and business hours consistent with the information on your practice’s website.
  • Encourage all reviews to be left on Google by your patients.
  • Select primary and secondary categories that align with your business. (e.g., Dentist in Dallas, Texas)
  • Add applicable attributes about your business (e.g., accessibility, crowd, planning, highlights, amenities, services, payment, language, etc.)
  • Once you’ve added business attributes to your Google Business Profile, they are eligible to show in Google Search, which can improve your practice’s visibility.
  • Write a complete business description about your practice.
  • Add 3-5 photos for each photo category (e.g., interior, exterior, team photos, business logo, cover photo).
  • Make the “Website” button available on your Google Business Profile to be taken to your practice’s website.

Enabling the “Reserve with Google” Feature

  1. Access the Jarvis Scheduler Configuration Page
  2. Select your organization
  3. Access the Scheduler Configuration, and select Configuration
  4. This can also be enabled at the individual office level by accessing the location configuration.
  5. Scroll to the Reserve with Google Integration section (bottom of page)
  6. Select the Enable Reserve with Google toggle to Enable
  7. Select Save, and All done!

    • Ensure your Google Business Profile is set up.
    • Ensure your Google Business Profile is verified.
    • Ensure your Practice Name and Address match your Google Business Profile.
    • Ensure that any existing appointment links are removed or make sure they are not preferred. More information here.
    • Ensure that the Location Information in Jarvis Scheduler matches the Google Business Profile (this information can be edited in Jarvis Scheduler Configuration > Edit Location)
